Hello!
My name is Nasreen, and I am a first year here at Wellesley. I was born in Oregon but moved to Saudi Arabia when I was 6 and graduated high school from a small school there.
I was really excited about this class as soon as I saw it on the list of FYSs. I have been really into "inventing" ever since I was 5 - and was always coming up with odd (often childish :)) product ideas. As I got older, I was involved in Lego League robotics for almost all of middle school and high school. I also really enjoy taking things apart.. but can never put them back together. I also really like technology and enjoy programming microcontrollers.
I really hope this class helps me organize my thought process, and teaches me how to expand and utilize my creativity. I feel high school took a toll on my drive to pursue my passions, and I hope this class serves as an outlet.
I also want to learn more about engineering as a discipline, so that I can grasp the connections between STEM, creativity, and design.
